Garret Angelo is a Partner at JJ Marshall & Associates Inc., a boutique accounts receivable management & debt collection agency out of Detroit, Michigan.
He is currently serving as the President of the Michigan Association of Collection Agencies and sits on the Michigan Collection Practices Board.
In addition to his work in the credit & collection industry, Garret is passionate about giving back to his community. Most notably is his dedication to weekly mentoring of high school students through the organization Winning Futures, empowering students to succeed.
Garret graduated from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Supply Chain Management.
Bedard Law Group
John Bedard is a nationally recognized authority on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. He serves as counsel to several professional trade associations, including the Georgia Collectors Association. John is a former member of the Board of Directors of the industry’s leading professional trade organization, ACA International. He serves as the State of Georgia Compliance Chairperson for ACA International and is a former Chairperson and Program Designation award recipient of ACA International’s Members Attorney Program.
Michael Klutho is a shareholder with the Minneapolis law firm of Bassford Remele, P.A. A significant part of Michael’s practice involves the defense of collection attorneys and collection agencies facing FDCPA, FCRA and TCPA lawsuits. Michael has defended thousands of consumer lawsuits brought against collection professionals. His practice in this area also includes the defense of claims brought by governmental regulators overseeing entities involved in the credit and collection industry, and risk management audits and advice. Michael chairs the firm’s Consumer Law Defense Practice Group. He presents frequently on the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA and related issues and is a Certified Instructor through ACA International. Michael is licensed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri, as well as many federal jurisdictions.
The Barton Law Group
Dennis J. Barton III is the owner of The Barton Law Group in St. Louis, Missouri, which specializes in collection and defense services for members of the ARM industry. His firm represents collection agencies and creditors filing collection lawsuits in the states of Missouri and Illinois and also provides letter review services, consulting on compliance best practices, and defends agencies against consumer lawsuits nationwide. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Business in 1996 and the Washington University School of Law in 2003. He is the past President of the Missouri Collectors Association as well as the ACA State Compliance Chair for the State of Missouri since 2017. Dennis is a member of ACA’s MAP Committee, Education Council, and holds the prestigious title of ACA Certified Instructor enabling him to teach all core curriculum programs associated with industry designations. He is in much demand at industry regional and national conferences at which he educates on collection strategizes and defense tactics.
State Collection Service
Beth Conklin has over 24 years in the collection industry starting out as a Collector, Team Leader and Supervisor of Collections before moving into the role as the Manager of Training and Regulatory Compliance. Beth is currently an Account Executive with State Collection Service, Inc. Prior to that, Beth was the Director, Training and Development at McCarthy, Burgess & Wolf. Beth has the TSP and CCCO designations as well as is a Certified Instructor for the ACA. Beth has earned the Fred Kirschner Award in March, 2013 and 2015, as well as being recognized as the ACA Certified Instructor of the Year for 2012 and 2016. Beth has contributed to multiple magazine articles and was recognized as one of 32 Top Collection Professionals in the industry in 2014.
Irene Hoheusle has been in the collection industry for over 22 years. She began as a collector and quickly became head of the collection department as well as all Training, Leadership and Compliance for ARSI. Irene has served on multiple ACA committees and has been quoted and published in multiple articles in the Collector and Pulse magazines. She is an ACA Certified Instructor and a source for many due to her extensive knowledge in medical collections and the laws that govern. Irene has earned an alphabet soup of designations, certifications awards and recognitions for her knowledge in the collection industry. She also serves as President of the Kansas Collectors Association (KCA). Irene regularly presents educational seminars for ARSI clients, as well as ACA, Chamber of Commerce, and many other associations.
Creditors Bureau USA
Courtney Reynaud is President of Creditors Bureau USA. She is a 3rd generation debt Collector and over the past 18 years, her career has allowed her to wear many different hats within the Collection Industry. Her professional experience is rooted in the healthcare industry, with a special understanding of law and consumer rights. Courtney is currently serving as President of the California Association of Collectors.
Nicole Strickler focuses her practice in the defense of consumer litigation, including the FDCPA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, TCPA, and the Illinois Collection Agency Act. Her clients include corporations, lending institutions, collection agencies, asset purchasers, lawyers as well as individuals. She is an active member of ACA International, the Consumer Financial Division of the American Bar Association, and holds a position on the Board of Directors of NARCA, The National Creditors' Bar Association.
Valor Intelligent Processing
Gordon Beck is the President, COO and Minority Shareholder of Valor Intelligent Processing, a new organization in the ARM Industry specializing in BPO and 3rd Party Collections. Gordon who has 20 years of industry experience, is known as a motivator, educator and great public speaker. Gordon’s trademark in the industry is not only his ability to bring in multi-million dollar contracts, but to operate and strategize those portfolios to “Best in Class” results for those clients. Gordon’s treatment of his employees, the amazing culture and atmosphere he provides them and never straying away from the family mentality is what he will tell you is the secret sauce of his success. To Gordon, there is no personal achievement that means as much to him as knowing that he provides a great place to work for the people he cares most about, his employees. Gordon was the youngest member ever inducted into Fern Creek High School Alumni’s Hall of Fame specifically as a result of his accomplishments in the ARM Industry.

Greg Ruffino is the Director of Training at Williams and Fudge. Greg has worked at Williams and Fudge for the past eight years, starting as a collector and working his way up the ladder to director of training. Greg recently spoke at ACA International’s conference on the topic of training. He is a certified training specialist with ACA International.
